When and Where is Quest?

Date: October 2nd – 4th, 2026

Theme and Location: Quest's new home is Camp Kanada! The address is 600 W Petpeswick Rd, West Petpeswick, NS B0J 2L0.
This year's Quest theme is “Quest on Stage”. The theme is meant to incorporate all things performing arts! Music, dance, art, we’re ready to see it all!

What is Quest?

Quest is a Girl Guides of Nova Scotia camp aimed at our older branches. The Quest "main event" takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Using a map, Pathfinder/Trex teams move around on a 2 km course, visiting stations (called "Projects") and completing challenges. Each Project is scored, with an emphasis on teamwork (so it is about how well you work together to complete the task, not just about how well you do the task). Pathfinders and Trex are the participants, with the projects they visit being led by Rangers/Bridging Members, and Guiders. Past Quest projects have included fire starting, camp skills, logic games, a bridge-building challenge, compass navigation, communication challenges, giant board games, and so much more. Each year, there is a theme, and the projects are designed to match the theme. Quest is a great opportunity for both Pathfinder and Ranger to test their leadership and team building skills.

Team Information

Team Registration: Team registration opens for 2026 on August 24th and closes on September 20th. September 20th is also the due date for all participant lists. Registration information will be provided soon.

Project Information

Projects are a core part of the Quest experience. They are a great way for Rangers to test their leadership skills while also having a fun day at camp! For adult members or Guiders bringing units, we also ask that you run a project! Guiders bringing units are asked to register to run a project, or volunteer with the core crew throughout the day. If you have questions about this process, please email ns.questchampion@girlguides.ca. Registration information will be provided soon.

Quest Core Crew

Quest brings in 300 participants every year. A camp of that scale requires some behind the scenes work! All Guiders, regardless of if they are bringing a unit or not, can assist the core crew! We have larger roles like Registrar and RG, and smaller roles like daytime First Aiders or Security. All help is amazing. Volunteers are the only way a camp of this scale can happen, and we appreciate your time and effort! If you have questions please email ns.questchampion@girlguides.ca. Apply to be on the Core Crew here! The deadline for applications in 2026 is July 3rd. If you have missed the cut off, please reach out via email.

Position information for Quest Core Crew can be found on the Committee Responsibilities page.
