Every member of Girl Guides in Canada is part of an international movement of 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 150 countries through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

Held every year on February 22 since 1926, World Thinking Day celebrates this global Guiding movement, international friendship and is an opportunity to speak out on issues that affect girls and young women.

This year marks the start of a three-year journey for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to become environmentally conscious leaders with a new World Thinking Day theme for 2022-2024: Our World, Our Equal Future.

In celebration of World Thinking Day in Canada, bridges, buildings, homes and more will be lit up in Girl Guide blue on the evening of February 22!

Join us this year by shining a blue light on your home or in your community and be sure to share it with us on social media using #ShineYourGuidingLight.
