GGC Training Streams
Training modules are specialized to meet the specific needs of members based on their role. However, all streams are open to all members, including Ranger-aged members.

Learning formats
- E-modules: Self-directed, online modules you can take at your own pace. Log in to Member Zone and choose from the Learning Path modules above, as well as enrichment topics such as Supporting Girls’ Mental Health, Cookies and Your Unit: Group Sales, Time Management and Awards and Recognition.
- Virtual: Live, interactive sessions delivered by experienced volunteers via video conference.

- In-person: Held locally and led by experienced volunteers. To request a specific training in your local Guiding community, please contact your District Commissioner or ns-learningandengagement@girlguides.ca.
Food Safety
Food Safety is a required training for Guiders who are taking girls or youth to camp and/or overnights in Nova Scotia.
This training is offered as a self-directed online course. Once you have completed the course, you must send your certificate to GGC Member and Unit Support (memberunitsupport@girlguides.ca) to have your membership record updated.

First Aid Training
How to Earn Training Pins
There's a training recognition pin for each training stream. To get your pin, reach out to your District Commissioner and ask how training recognition pin awards are handled in your district. If this isn't an option, send your completed TR.9 Training Module Tracking Form to ns-learningandengagement@girlguides.ca, and we'll make sure you get your pin.
Trainings Missing from iMIS
Only Trainings listed on the Training for Adult Members page can be added to your iMIS record.
If you have completed a training that is not listed in your iMIS record, please reach out to ns-learningandengagement@girlguides.ca with the details. Please include which training is missing, when you did it, and the name of the Trainer (if known).
