For nearly 100 years, Camp Peaceful Waters – Eaux Tranquilles has been a beloved place where girls and youth from across Quebec have opportunities to discover their confidence, create friendships and develop a lifelong connection to nature. Founded in 1926 on the shores of Lac Bouchette in Québec’s Laurentian Mountains, the camp has welcomed generations of campers to its breathtaking 350-acre property, creating memories that will last beyond the summer.
In 2026, Camp Peaceful Waters will celebrate its centenary, a remarkable milestone marked by special events and a culminating celebration on the weekend of October 3 and 4. This moment offers a powerful opportunity not only to honour the past, but to invest in the future of a camp that continues to help girls thrive.
How can I support Camp Peaceful Waters – Eaux Tranquilles?
In an ambitious fundraising campaign, we have a goal of $150,000. These funds would provide an essential investment in the care, sustainability and future of this beloved camp. Contributions will fund critical infrastructure improvements and environmentally responsible upgrades that ensure the camp remains safe, accessible and inspiring for generations to come. Projects would include:
- Revitalization of Dragonfly lodge, a key staff accommodation that supports high-quality programming and camper safety.
- New roofs on several aging buildings to protect essential camp spaces.
- Installation of electric vehicle charging stations to meet evolving accessibility and environmental needs.
- Solar panel installations in areas without electrical access, reducing environmental impact and operating costs.
