The Program Department promotes branch specific program activities for girls; providing Guiders and all other volunteers with resources to run successful programs and activities. The Program Department is committed to ensuring that all volunteers are prepared to run the best unit meetings and events to assist every girl member in exploring their own abilities.
Lones is a program option that enables girls who cannot attend an in-person unit to participate in Guiding. Girls in Lones complete their program primarily on their own and through flexible, virtual or other delivery formats in communication with the Lones Guider. Lady Baden-Powell Camp – March 15-17
What: Guides in their final year of the program (those born in 2012) are invited to register for the Lady Baden-Powell Award Camp at Con Ba Su Hut in Seal Cove. During the event they will participate in outdoor cooking, a tea party hosted by Lady Baden Powell, a campfire, outside winter activities and so much more!
Where: Con Ba Su Hut, Seal Cove, Conception Bay South
When: March 15-17
Who: third-year Guides
Cost to girls: $50 + HST ($57.50) which includes all programming, meals and accommodations.

Due to limited space at the facilities, we have a maximum limit of 32 Guides, so this event is first come, first served. The deadline to register is February 23. Register now.

Provincial Contests
Crest Contest
NL Council is holding a contest to find a
a design for our new provincial crest!The deadline for entries is Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
The creator of the winning design will receive a Guiding goodies package, 10 crests and crests for their whole unit!

Crest Criteria
- Crests can be any shape
- Crest designs can be hand drawn or created digitally
- Crests must include the GGC Trefoil
- Crests must include the provincial name, Newfoundland & Labrador
- Crests should represent Guiding in our province
Include things that you think make
Guiding in Newfoundland and Labrador special –
this could be Guiding activities, geography, environment, animals, etc., hatever you think best represents our Province – there are no limit to your ideas!

Shirt Design Contest
NL Council is holding a contest to find a design for our new Provincial T-shirts and hoodies! The deadline for entries is Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
The creator of the winning design will receive a Guiding goodies package including a t-shirt with their design!
Current shirt design that will be retired when the new design is created:
Design Criteria
- Designs can be any style
- Designs can be hand drawn or created digitally
- Designs do not need to include the Trefoil
- Designs can include images, text or both
- Designs should represent our province, Guiding or both
- Designs can be on any color shirt – you can specify a color your
design would look best on or create the design for any color shirt
There are no limits to your design ideas! Check out the current provincial shirt design if you need inspiration to get your creative ideas flowing!
