Girl Guides of Canada is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) – the largest voluntary movement dedicated empowering girls and young women around the world. Every member of Girl Guides of Canada is a part of this international movement of 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 153 countries.

Member organizations work with youth on a range of topics including young women’s leadership, girls’ rights, education and environmental issues. Girl Guides of Canada is one of 35 members of the WAGGGS Western Hemisphere Region.

Through WAGGGS, members are connected to a unique network that spans the globe and can challenge themselves to truly make an impact on the world.

Join the Olave Baden-Powell Society


The Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS) is a global network of supporters dedicated to empowering girls and young women through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). By providing vital financial support, OB-PS helps fund leadership development programs, advocacy initiatives, and life-changing opportunities for girls and young women around the world.

How you can get involved:

  • Become a member: Join an international sisterhood of over 1,900 members from 63 countries, including 61 Canadians.
  • Support opportunities: Your contribution helps fund leadership workshops, advocacy efforts, and global programs that empower girls and young women worldwide.
