Youth Application Details - Please read in full before applying.

• Who: One Hundred (100) campers will be selected. Campers can be third-year Guides, Pathfinders, TREX, and Rangers born between 2006-2012. Members born before 2006 can apply as adult volunteers
• Cost: B.C. Council is providing a $525 subsidy to each individual selected. The out-of-pocket cost for those selected will be $525 (including GST). This includes all costs associated with this trip (program, meals, accommodation, local travel). If youth require additional financial support, please check with your Area Camping Advisor to see if your Area and/or District Councils may be able to assist you with this event. Youth members may fundraise part of their trip cost by following the fundraising policy and procedures.
• Transportation: Transportation to/from Whistler will be provided from one of the bus departure locations (Lower Mainland and Interior BC). It will be the responsibility of the individuals, with the support of their Areas and Districts, to get to the central hubs

Qualifications

• Capable to endure and participate in physical activities (e.g. canoeing, horseback riding, biking, swimming)
• Four (4) consecutive or non-consecutive nights of Girl Guide camping (minimum of 2 nights in a row)
• Ability to adapt and work co-operatively
• Ability to cope with and participate in daily camp activities
• Completed swim or boat test record in iMIS by June 30, 2024

Please have the following information ready when completing your application:

• Girl Guide Camping Record (dates, location, and type of camping you've done in the last 3-5 years)
• Your iMIS Number

References: All applicants must provide at least one (1) reference (Guiding or Non-Guiding) who has camped with them.

Application Deadline is April 20, 2024.

Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.

You will be notified via email if you have been selected before April 2024.
