Help Send the South African patrol to Guiding Mosaic!

Celebrate 100 Years with an Exciting Service Project for Members of GGC, Ontario Council!

You can help send 10 girls and 2 Guiders from South Africa to Guiding Mosaic 2010. The exciting camp takes place July 8-17, 2010 at Guelph Lake Conservation Area. We have an amazing opportunity to support our sisters from South Africa to travel and attend this special 100th anniversary event!

All Members in Ontario from Sparks to Unit Guiders, Trefoil Guild, Link, and members-at-large can be a part of this exciting project by raising funds to donate.
Your donation can help towards the following:

• $60 provides 1000 km of air flight (total is over 13,000 km one way!)
• $35 provides one sleeping bag
• $40 provides rain gear for one
• $45 will buy a GGC fleece sweatshirt to help keep one girl warm
• $23 will provide a souvenir camp blanket
• $15 will provide for a meal while traveling to GM
(all costs are approximate)

Ontario Council is working with the Girl Guides Association of South Africa to support all costs for the patrol to travel and attend GM 2010. The total cost is estimated at $40,000! It is a huge commitment, but what a fantastic opportunity to join with our sisters in South Africa and provide an opportunity that may not otherwise be accessible to them.

Deposit the funds into your account and indicate “Exp Donation” on the drop down menu and “Unit to Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council”. Choose “Other” and then explain in the “Additional Comments” field that you wish to support the South African patrol to GM
