ADULT EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Communicating your Event
If you are a Member wishing to provide an adult event to Members and wish to
post the event on the calendar please let us know by forwarding the Adult
Event
Planning Form. This form must be submitted to event.coord2@guidesontario.org.
The
more lead time provided to Guiders to note this event
means the likelihood of better attended events.
ADULT EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES Financial Information
All Adult Events and Activities (see trainings below)
must be self-supporting. Should you be planning an Adult
Event that involves a registration fee the following
applies:
• Registration Form must be approved by the provincial
Event Coordinator prior to posting on the website.
• For adult events that require a fee for participation,
all registration must be processed through the provincial
Event Coordinator.
• Registration Fees for adult events are by cheques
made payable to Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council.
Exception:
Trefoil Guilds may run local adult events and provide registration
and fee collection through the Guild
• An event name must be noted in the memo field
for registration fees and Registration forms for events
must accompany the
cheque.
Expenses for the adult events are reimbursed through the
Event Coordinator-Adult Events at Ontario Council in relation
to the registration fees collected. The Responsible Guider
for the adult event must contact the Event Coordinator
to arrange for handling of the registration fees. Before
communication can be approved for the event the volunteer
planning the event will also be required to produce a sample
budget indicating the event is self-supporting to the Event
Coordinator.
If your event requires start-up funds for such things
as space rental that will eventually be recovered through
registration fees, this would also be handled through the
event.coord2@guidesontario.org.
